Steady Sponsor is free because recovery shouldn't have a price tag. AA itself is free. The Big Book is available to anyone. The steps belong to everyone who needs them.
AA's Seventh Tradition says every group should be fully self-supporting through its own contributions. Steady Sponsor follows that same spirit - offered freely, sustained by voluntary donations from people who find it valuable.
